FROM 6IX TO STEEL: OUR JOURNEY TO HAMILTON
We recently had the pleasure of sharing our journey on Cable 14’s Hamilton Life, where we looked back on how far we’ve come since leaving Toronto and making Hamilton our home in 2020. It’s been a wild, beautiful ride, and honestly, we wouldn’t change a thing!
When Heather and I moved from Toronto, we weren’t just changing cities, we were reimagining our lifestyle and how we wanted to build our business. Toronto was where we cut our teeth, where we learned the ropes, built our network, performed at major events, and earned a reputation for quality, professionalism, and high-level execution. But when the world hit pause in 2020, we took it as a rare opportunity to reflect, reset, and choose a new direction.
We saw Hamilton not as a step back from the big city, but as a city with big energy… A fast-growing creative hub with huge potential and a clear need for elevated, professional entertainment services. So we brought everything we’d learned in Toronto and poured it into building something fresh and new here in Steel Town.
From day one, we made it a priority to become part of the community. That meant showing up, not just to events, but to conversations, partnerships, and local causes. We’ve become members of both the Barton Village BIA and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, and we’re proud to have provided talent for some of the city’s most beloved events like the Winona Peach Festival and Open Streets on Barton.
In our very first year, we’ve already made some huge strides, including becoming preferred vendors with Pearle Hospitality, one of the most prestigious event groups in the region. That trust and recognition means the world to us, and it motivates us to keep raising the bar for what local entertainment can look and feel like.
Whether it's a packed dance floor at a wedding, a corporate event downtown, or a lakeside celebration, we've been embraced by this city, and we’re honoured to share those moments with our community.
We're proud not just to perform here, but to live here. To contribute, to collaborate, and to be the kind of neighbours and business owners that reflect the best of what Hamilton is all about.
This city has heart, and we’re here for it. So let’s make waves!
